Boynton Canyon - Sedona, AZ

Unfortunately the trail begins by skirting a luxury resort. I baffles me as to why they allowed this sprawling resort to be recently built in the mouth of a beautiful canyon. However, it is one of the most scenic box canyons in Sedona.

The Verde Valley

This was the view near my campsite at West Cherry Creek Road. The dispersed camping area is now closed.

Wet Beaver Creek - Coconino National Forest

Wet Beaver Creek is a clear cool brook secluded in a deep red rock canyon that has cut into the southern rim of the Colorado Plateau. It is part of the Wet Beaver Wilderness.

Parson's Trail - Sycamore Canyon Wilderness

The hike up the Parson's Trail was easy. Getting there was tough in my Honda Civic. It's a pleasant hike along a clear desert stream in a red rock canyon. It is also one of the best swimming holes in Arizona. Although, I didn't swim that day.
