I visited the petroglyphs at Martha's Butte in Petrified Forest National Park. There is no trail but you can see Martha's Butte from the road. My hike was 2.5 miles round-trip, and I spent 2 hours out there.

I hiked a loop of 11.8 miles in the Painted Desert at Petrified Forest National Park. It took me 6 hours and 13 minutes. So much fun to wander about in the Painted Desert.
The Blue Mesa member consists of thick deposits of grey, blue, purple, and green mudstones and minor sandstone beds.
