Saddle Mountain - Tonopah, AZ

I began my hike at 12:06 PM from my mini van. At 12:19 PM, I was at the trailhead. Then it took me 58 minutes to hike up to the saddle. It was about one mile to that point. From the saddle to the 3,037-foot summit took me 32 minutes. After taking photos I headed down at 2:00 PM. I got back to the trailhead at 3:15 PM, and then followed the dirt road back to my car. Total hike time from my car and back was 3 hours and 22 minutes.

Saddle Mountain - Tonopah, Arizona

This was my third time to the 3,037 foot summit of Saddle Mountain. The mountain is a "volcanic upthrust", and is composed of tuff and rhyolite. The climb is short at 1.4 miles to the summit, but the gain is 1,558 feet. I hiked from where I parked my car which was farther from the trailhead. From there it was 3.8 miles round-trip, and it took me 4 hours and 32 minutes.
