At North Usery Pass Road, I began my 1.8 mile hike to the 3,304-foot summit at 10:29 AM. It took me 1 hour and 6 minutes. From there I continued along the ridge to Wind Cave Trail, then to Pass Mountain Trail, and the Talon Trail. My 6.5 mile loop hike took me 4 hours and 32 minutes.
At sunset I hiked up Pass Mountain. I started at 5:19 PM, and it was 97°. After 1 hour and 29 minutes I had reached the 3,304-foot summit. It was 6:49 PM. At 7:15 PM I headed back down. I was back at my car at 8:17 PM. My 3.7 mile round-trip hike was 2 hours and 56 minutes.

I hiked up Pass Mountain from the parking area on North Usery Pass Road. From there it was a 21 minute hike to the junction of the loop trail. The trail keeps heading up the mountain at the junction. Going to the summit was 3.8 miles round trip. When I stood on the summit it had taken me 1 hour and 18 minutes from my car. The elevation gain was 1,160 feet from the road. This was my third time on the summit. It took me an hour to get back to my car.
