Picacho Peak State Park - Arizona

I began my hike up Picacho Peak by starting at the Sunset Vista Trailhead. My hike up to the 3,374-foot summit was 6 miles round-trip, and it took me 4 hours and 44 minutes.

The unique shape of the 3,374-foot Picacho Peak has been used as a landmark by travelers since prehistoric times. The peak is part of a volcanic flow that has been partially eroded away.

The trail to the summit is 2.8 miles round trip with 2,112 feet of elevation gain. I followed the Hunter Trail to the top.
