American Airlines - Chicago to Phoenix

I had gone back to Chicago, to get my stuff out of storage and put it in my AA sponsor's basement in Lakemoor. It was great to see all my friends, but it was bitter cold.

It was 17 degrees below zero in Lakemoor.

Almost time for departure.

It was 70 degrees warmer in Phoenix.

Saddle Mountain - Tonopah, Arizona

Saddle Mountain is a "volcanic upthrust", and is composed of tuff and rhyolite. The climb is short at 1.4 miles from the trailhead, but the gain is 1,558 feet. The summit is 3,037 feet.
