Bighorn Peak - Bighorn Mountains Wilderness

Bighorn Peak is a spectacular desert landmark west of Tonopah, Arizona, and can be easily spotted 30 miles away when traveling Interstate 10; the peak is located about 4 miles north of the Interstate. The first time I hiked up this difficult peak was October 28, 2020. I parked my car by the Central Arizona Project Canal, and spent the night there. I began my hike the next day at 8:12 AM. My hike was 7 miles round-trip, and it took me 7 hours and 21 minutes.
