Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point) - Mexico

I camped 2 nights at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, and made a day trip to Puerto PeƱasco, Mexico. First, I visited the estuary, Estero Morua, and then I had lunch at The Cowboy restaurante de mariscos. After that I went to Sandy Beach and went swimming, and explored the tide pools at low tide. Then I headed back to the border town of Sonoyta, and had dinner at La Cocina de Yesi.

Caving in the Chiricahua Mountains, Arizona

This cave is known for its rare quartz crystals that are deep in the cave. We explored the Crystal Maze. The cave has 2.38 miles of total passage. There are twisting tunnels and narrow passages that extend in all directions: vertically and horizontally. No access to the cave is permitted April 15th to October 15th, while a maternity colony of Townsend's big-eared bats is using the cave to raise their young.

Steins Cemetery - New Mexico

I camped at the cemetery near the fence. It was a beautiful night in the high desert. Steins Cemetery is directly south of the ghost town, and on the south side of I-10. Elevation is 4,347 feet.
