Peak 2881 - Goldfield Mountains

My hike up Peak 2881 was 2.6 miles round-trip, and it took me 2 hours and 47 minutes. The ascent was 651 feet from the parking area. The summit is 2,881 feet elevation.

First Water Creek - Superstition Mountains

This was my first hike down to First Water Creek from the Apache Trail. My hike was 2.1 miles round-trip, and it took me 1 hour and 37 minutes.

 

Klothos Temple - Muggins Mountain Wilderness

I tried to hike up to the summit of Klothos Temple but I became too exhausted and decided to turn around. But I got really close. I was also afraid I would not make it back to my car before sunset if I went to the top. I hiked 5.9 miles round trip, and ascended 1,360 feet. The hike took me 4 hours and 50 minutes.

Painted Rock Petroglyph Campground

Painted Rock Petroglyph Site, approximately 90 miles southwest of Phoenix, provides visitors the opportunity to view an archaeological site containing hundreds of figures and designs carved into rocks, known as petroglyphs. The campground offers visitors 59 individual campsites.

I camped here the night before my hike up Klothos Temple in the Muggins Mountain Wilderness.

Arch Canyon - Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument

I went to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument and hiked the Arch Canyon Trail for the second time. It was 3 miles round trip and took me 2.5 hours to complete. I got to use my National Park Senior Pass for the first time! I got 50% off the campsite. So happy to turn 62 last November.
