I
hiked 9.1 miles round trip to the true summit of Wilson Mountain. There
is a trail that leads up to the broad mesa and two overlooks but none
reach the summit. Therefore I had to bushwhack up to the top. It was a
fairly short scramble to the 7,100 foot summit. On two previous hikes up
Wilson Mountain I had hiked out to the north and south overlooks which
have fantastic views. This time my goal was the summit. Elevation gain
was 2,553 feet.
