Huachuca Mountains - Sierra Vista, AZ

I hadn't been hiking in snow for several years so I was eager to hike up Ramsey Canyon to see the freshly fallen snow in the Huachuca Mountains. I started my hike at the Ramsey Canyon Preserve at 9:08 AM. It took me 32 minutes to reach the Overlook which was 1.1 miles with an elevation gain of 778 feet. At 10:02 AM, I arrived at the junction of the Brown Canyon Trail which took me 22 minutes. Next was the junction of Comfort Springs Trail, and I arrived there at 10:38 AM. Then 7 minutes later I reached the junction of Pat Scott Canyon Trail at 6,864 feet elevation. At this point, I was 2.7 miles from the trailhead. From there I headed up Pat Scott Canyon. At 7,215 feet elevation I decided to go no farther. It was 11:12 AM, and I was 3.2 miles from the visitor center. It had taken me 2 hours and 4 minutes to get to this point. After a short break I headed down at 11:23 AM. I was back at the visitor center at 12:29 PM. It had taken only 1 hour and 6 minutes to get back down. My hike was 6.2 miles round-trip, and it took 3 hours and 37 minutes.
