Kendrick Peak

Yesterday I hiked 9.3 miles round trip to the 10,423 foot summit. Kendrick Peak is a dome volcano. Lava domes are formed by viscous magma being erupted onto the surface and then piling up around the vent. They typically do not have enough gas or pressure to erupt explosively. The hike took me 6 hours.
