Hiking up Black Cross Butte was a challenging hike, because of the route finding. It was a 2.9 mile loop hike with amazing views of the Salt River, and the Four Peaks. The entire hike going counter clockwise took me 2 hours and 53 minutes. The elevation gain is about 780 feet. The trailhead is where Forest Road 80 ends at a gate. The summit is 3,351 feet.
