I started hiking at 8:58am on the Upper Green Mountain Trail up to UN 7281 "Guthrie Mountain". It was 6.1 miles round trip to the summit with about 1,750 feet of elevation gain. First it took me 1 hour and 28 minutes to reach the junction of the Guthrie Mountain Spur Trail in 2.1 miles. Then it was 0.8 miles to the summit. Total time from the trailhead was 2 hours and 19 minutes. Total round trip hike time was 4 hours and 40 minutes. The summit is at 7,281 feet.
Guthrie Mountain inhabits the middle zone of Mount Lemmon. Its sandy slopes are covered in scrub oak, alligator juniper, and ponderosa pine.
