Peter's Canyon - Superstition Mountains

My hike into Peter's Canyon began at 9:19 AM, and my goal was to go all the way to Peter's Cave. I began at the overflow parking lot in Tortilla Flat where I followed a trail to Tortilla Creek. At the junction of Tortilla Creek and Peter's Canyon was a large rock formation. This was 1 mile from my vehicle. It took 41 minutes to get there. Here I began my hike into Peter's Canyon. At 2.4 miles I reached Peter's Cave. That took me 2 hours and 25 minutes to get there from my car. It was 11:45 AM. Here I had a lunch break in the large rock shelter. After eating lunch I started heading back at 12:22 PM. I returned to my mini van at 2:11 PM. My hike was 4.8 miles round-trip, and it took me 4 hours and 55 minutes.
